While the 2022 FIFA World Cup is in full swing and the final group games are underway to try and determine which teams will play in the knockout stage of the competition, there will be plenty of clubs around the world that will be keeping close attention on the players that they have out in Qatar at the moment.

One group of football clubs that may be keeping an extra close look on their players and how well they are performing and whether they are staying fit could be those that are set to return to action in the UEFA Champions League next year.
Of course, the group stage of this competition has already been concluded and the 16 teams to be playing in the knockout stages are already determined, with clubs from England, Spain, Italy, and Germany largely making up the remaining teams. In fact, they account for a total of 12 sides, with Portugal boasting two, and Belgium and France each having one representative.
Indeed, the tournament is one of the most popular picks on the world’s biggest sport betting platform, as the final rounds typically see the biggest clubs on the planet compete against each other for the biggest prize in club football, which is why so many of them will be keeping a close eye on the players that are representing their nations in Qatar at the moment.
But, which teams could potentially come into good shape following the conclusion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup?
Liverpool is perhaps the major beneficiary of the global tournament taking place this winter than any of the other UCL teams this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s side having been hit in devastating fashion regarding the number of injuries to have been experienced so far this season.
Napoli are also thought to be able to benefit massively, as they have a number of players that are not representing their nations at the tournament simply due to their failures to qualify. While the likes of Italy and Ghana will have been popular bets on Betway, neither side were able to advance from the qualification stage, therefore many of the Italian club’s stars will have been enjoying a period of rest instead of playing additional football in the Middle East this winter. The same can be said of Inter Milan, too.
Similarly, Manchester City have also managed to benefit in this regard, too. Although many of Pep Guardiola’s players are doing their thing on the pitch for their countries, Erling Haaland is one man that is not. Norway did not qualify, therefore the striker has been able to rest and spend time at the Etihad. Of course, the flip side of this is the fact that he is not playing, which could have a detrimental impact on his form, however with the way that he has been playing for the last couple of years, it would not be a surprise if he were to return to the pitch after a break and continue to do what he has done for most of his career: score goals.
