Roma confirmed on Wednesday the signing of Ivorian international Evan Ndicka as a free agent from Eintracht Frankfurt for the next five seasons, until 2028.
"Roma is pleased to announce the signing of Evan Ndicka. The 1999-born defender has signed a contract until 2028," the club said in a statement.
Ndicka thus becomes Roma's second free agent signed for next season, after also securing the services of Frenchman Houssem Aouar on a five-year deal.
"The project that was presented to me, along with the history and prestige of this club, pushed me to come to Rome, a fantastic city that loves and thrives on football. I can't wait to take the field at the Olimpico in front of my new fans and give my all to achieve my goals," said the recent addition to Portuguese coach José Mourinho's side.
The 23-year-old Ivorian, a 2022 Europa League winner with the German side, where he has spent the last five seasons, has arrived to reinforce the 'Giallorossi' defence in the face of the possible departure of Brazilian Roger Ibanez.
Before starting his Eintracht journey, Ndicka spent 2 years at French side Auxerre (2016-18), but gained all his European competition experience at the Frankfurt side, making 37 appearances in Europe, 8 this season, in which they lost in the last 16 of the Champions League to Napoli.
