Napoli open talks with Dormund for Adeyemi

Napoli are racing against time to find a replacement for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain last week in a deal worth €70million, with two weeks left until the closure of the January transfer window.
Man United's Garnacho was targeted to fill in for the Georgian forward, however, negotiations with the Red Devils are going harder than expected as an agreement on a fee is yet to be reached between the two clubs - United are seeking a fee of €65m plus bonuses but Napoli are firm in the region of €50m-€55m.
The 'Partenopei' are still keen on the Argentinian but have started brainstorming new ideas should the deal not go through with Ruben Amorim's side. According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi is the name Napoli have landed on, with contact already begun from the Italians.
The German international would reportedly cost Napoli around €40m, representing a significantly cheaper option and therefore an easier deal to pull off for the 2023 Serie A Champions. 23-year-old Adeyemi, hampered by an injury which kept him out for two months, counts 5 goals and 3 assists in all competitions this season.
