The Saudi Arabian government went all out to welcome the three stars Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos. The idea would be for the country to get the footballers itself. whose contracts with Madrid and PSG run out in June, and for them to then choose a team themselves.
However, with regards to the Croatian midfielder, his decision is final: he will stay at Madrid until 2024. According to 'AS', even though he is not playing his best after the World Cup and he has Ceballos breathing down his neck, the 2018 Balons d'Or winner is not thinking about anything other than staying.
Modric himself thinks his performances will improve after February, when Real Madrid will play a lot of important games in their season like the Madrid derby and the Champions League last-16 game against Liverpool.
"I don't think they'll be coming to my office because they don't need my advice. The Madrid legends have to finish at Real Madrid", said manager Carlo Ancelotti in the pre-match press conference for the game against Valencia this Thursday.
