Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Juventus for the signing of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The 27-year-old will initially join City Ground on loan, with an automatic purchase clause that will be activated if Luiz plays a certain number of matches.
Forest will have to pay around €30 million if the obligation is not met, but will retain the option to make the purchase permanent. This move marks a rapid turnaround in Luiz's career, who joined Juventus last summer from Aston Villa for €50 million.
The Brazilian failed to establish himself in Turin, making a total of 27 official appearances but only six as a starter. Of those matches, only three were in Serie A, which led to frustration for the player due to the lack of opportunities under different coaches.
