Mateu Lahoz to referee Barcelona-Espanyol derby after controversy in Qatar

Antonio Mateu Lahoz will be in charge of the derby between Barcelona and Espanyol next Saturday 31st, corresponding to the 15th matchday of La Liga, in which he will be accompanied by Santiago Jaime Latre from Aragon on the VAR.
The Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced on Tuesday the appointments for the matches of that day, with which the competition will resume after the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
A World Cup in which the referee of the Valencian referee took part, who had a clash with Messi. The Argentinian said that he was not up to the level required for the 'Albiceleste's quarter-final against the Netherlands and Mateu was left without refereeing the final.
