Real Madrid fans have had enough of what they see as a very improvable refereeing for their team in recent matches, specifically since the club issued a statement in which it directly accused the refereeing staff.
Against Girona, the 'Merengues' fans exploded. They did it before the match, when both teams posed next to a banner asking for respect for the referees, and they did it in the middle of the match.
It was in the 12th minute when the stands of the Santiago Bernabeu chanted against the referees in unison. The chant “Corruption in the Federation” was heard throughout the stadium.
It was a prepared protest. There had already been talk on social networks that the different supporters' groups were going to protest against the referees.
