Liverpool were rewarded for their dominant display as they ended the first half with a three-goal cushion. Dominik Szobozlai blasted from just outside the box to open the scoring in the 11th minute before Salah doubled the lead less than 25 mo when he smashed Gakpo's cross in the back of the net. The Dutchman then turned goalscorer as he capitalised on a rebound from Szobozlai's shot to finish the Reds' third from close range. Gakpo got his brace in the 66th minute as rose to direct Alexander Arnold's cross past Walton. Ipswich got a consolation goal late on to spoil Liverpool's clean sheet as Greaves headed in Enciso's cross from a corner.
