Gravenberch responds to comparisons with Madrid legend

Speaking during the pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's Champions League tie against Girona, the Dutchman expressed gratitude for being likened to such a decorated player.
"It is nice to hear that, of course, because Toni Kroos is a legend of the game, he did a lot of good things, so it is nice to hear," said the Liverpool midfielder. Gravenberch acknowledged the comparisons as flattering but made it clear he is fully focused on contributing to the team’s success as they look to progress in Europe.
"Of course, I think everyone can still adjust or improve, so can I, so for me, maybe I can do a bit more in the defending. But I am really happy with the performance I have so far so I just have to keep going," he added.
Having adapted quickly to Arne Slot's midfield setup, Gravenberch has become an important figure for the Reds. His role will be pivotal once again on Tuesday as he continues to build momentum and strengthen his position in the team.
