Real Madrid secured victory against Brest, but not the miracle of going straight through to the last 16. Jude Bellingham spoke on ‘Movistar+’ with some criticism about having to play two more group games and now the qualifying play-off.

Real Madrid's England midfielder Jude Bellingham said the new Champions League format, with two extra games in the league phase in addition to two more when not qualifying directly for the last 16, was "difficult".
"It's difficult to play a couple of extra games, the Cup, the Super Cup, the League... You feel like we're always travelling and playing and it's difficult," he said on Movistar+.
Real Madrid missed out on a direct place in the last 16 despite beating Brest 3-0 on the final day. Bellingham was one of the scorers at the Stade du Roudourou in Guingamp.
"It was a good individual and collective game. We handled our chances well and in defence. The front three worked well, so great," he said.
Real Madrid will have to play a play-off before the last 16. The draw will take place on Friday and their possible opponents in this next round are Manchester City or Celtic.
"City are going through a bad moment, but they are a team with a very high quality. It's going to be difficult to beat them if we play them, but Celtic deserve to be in the draw because they've done so well," said Bellingham.
