Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies had a late night run-in with the police on Thursday night. According to 'BILD', the Canada international was caught slightly drunk whilst driving his Lamborghini in the streets of Munich.
Officers were reportedly suspicious of the 24-year-old due him smelling of alcohol. He tested positive to an alcohol test, with an estimated blood alcohol level of 0.6 g/l, thus surpassing the legal limit of 0.5 g/l in Germany.
Had his blood alcohol level been higher than 0.8 g/l, Davies would be risking a criminal sanction, but an infraction means that his punishment could only be limited to a 500 euro fine and a one-month driving license suspension.
There has been no official word from the player nor the club about the incident, as Davies appears to have attended Friday's training session as usual ahead of Bayern's Bundesliga clash against Dortmund.
