Real Madrid president Florentino Perez presented on Tuesday the new documentary about the Santiago Bernabeu in collaboration with 'Disney+' and 'National Geographic', where he praised the virtues of the new Bernabeu stadium, which he referred to as one of the “most magical stadiums in the world”.
“Here, impossible dreams come true”, said Florentino Perez, at the presentation of the documentary entitled 'Megaestructuras: el Bernabeu del siglo XXI', which will be available in Spain from Wednesday on the 'Disney Plus' platform.
For the president, remodeling a structure of such characteristics was a great “challenge”, one of his priority objectives when he joined the club in 2000.
He also highlighted the stadium's influence on the development of the area where it is located, recalling that next week marks the anniversary of the construction of the stadium and that “right here, in this place, in Chamartin, there was practically nothing 77 years ago”.
The documentary also explains the difficulties they endured in combining the work on the roof with football matches and the added vicissitudes of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
“Here we have witnessed the magical nights of the 14th and 15th UCL titles while construction was underway. Our thanks to the members and fans who have had to put up with the inconvenience of the construction work. They have been years of intense work and we have had to overcome circumstances such as the pandemic and the war in Ukraine,” concluded Florentino.
