"We have something pending and that is to win the Champions League"

Uruguayan centre-back Ronald Araujo, who on Thursday renewed his contract with Barcelona until June 30, 2031, assured that the team has “something pending, which is to win the Champions League”.
“This is the biggest goal we have, and we are going to go for it, for sure,” said the Uruguayan, one of the leaders of the azulgrana dressing room.
The Uruguayan international stressed that this Barcelona is “a young team” that aims for everything, and was delighted that the club opted for his continuity.
“I am happy to be able to renew with Barca and continue here for many more years. The happiness is enormous, I worked hard for this. You can see the club's confidence in you and that's important, because it means you're doing things right,” he said.
Araujo knows “how important” he is “for this team” and how much he is loved by the fans who cheer him with “Uruguayan, Uruguayan!” in every game and who have been telling him for weeks “stay, stay” when they meet him in the street.
