The Argentine Julian Alvarez expressed on Tuesday, after the defeat against Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 (2-1), that “it's just a goal” the difference and “there are 90 minutes left at home” with their fans to make “a great” match in the second leg at the Metropolitano.
“It's a goal. There are 90 minutes left at home with our fans. We have to think about the next game - Getafe - and prepare for the second leg to play a great game at home,” the striker explained in statements to ‘Movistar’ at the end of the match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I think they scored the goals at the right moments. We started the match trailing by a goal very quickly and the equaliser came. At times we had control of the match and the game, but we knew it wasn't going to be easy, because they play at home and have great players. We know that we have 90 minutes left”, he analysed.
Julian scored the equaliser, although it was not enough afterwards. “It was a nice goal to level the match. We had situations afterwards to score, but we couldn't and we have to keep working. We have a match at the weekend and we have to think about that,” he said.
