Aurelien Tchouameni, who was substituted in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup after suffering a heavy blow to the face in a collision with an opponent, confirmed that he is “fine” and that he was substituted as a precaution.
The French international that he will play in Sunday's final against Barcelona. “I'm fine, nothing is wrong. The medical staff said it was better for me to leave the pitch, although it was not serious. I feel fine, I will recover well for the next game. It was a blow to the head when I tried to clear. I didn't lose consciousness, I could speak calmly,” he said on ‘Movistar’.
Tchouameni regretted the behaviour of Maffeo, again involved in several incidents with Vinicius Junior. “There is a Mallorca player that, all the time and every match, we have problems with him. So, people have been a little bit angry, but the most important thing is to win and reach the final. We don't want to talk about this guy because that's what he wants,” he said.
The French midfielder, who has settled in as a centre-back in the face of the defensive losses suffered by Carlo Ancelotti, praised Jude Bellingham and focused on the final. “We know Jude is a phenomenal player, he helps us win games all the time with goals, assists and his commitment. We have a great squad and we will continue until the end of the season because we are playing very well at the moment,” he told reporters.
