Dani Ceballos highlighted Real Madrid's reaction, with 3 consecutive wins in domestic competition, after losing in 'El Clasico' to close the gap with Barcelona to one point and with a game in hand, and acknowledged that, now, they are depending on themselves to become champions of La Liga again. “We played a very solid game from start to finish. It is true that, at the end, it cost us a little more to close the game, but the team was very solid and compact. We played a great match,” he said on 'Real Madrid TV'.
“We knew that Getafe is a very solid team and that they have conceded very few goals. They defend very well in a low block, but the team came out with good rhythm and we created chances. We were lucky to score the first two clear chances we had and, from then on, the game was a different one,” he added. Ceballos highlighted Real Madrid's improvement and expressed his personal satisfaction at having minutes and feeling that he is making the most of his opportunity.
“Making it three in three was the only way to catch Barcelona. We are doing it and now, on Wednesday, we have another difficult match at San Mames and Barcelona is also playing. It's a good time to continue closing the gap and, now, it's up to us,” he said.
“I am leaving here happy. When you have playing time, it's much easier. I haven't played for a long time, but I feel good, I feel the confidence of the coach and my teammates. We are all one and the team comes first. You can see that every player adds up when it's his turn,” he said.
