Van de Ven out for Man City clash, Romero in doubt
Postecoglou has been dealt with an emergency in defence as Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero could both be out for Spurs' clash against Man City on Saturday. The Dutchman is 100% out as he's "still weeks away from his return", while Romero missed out on Argentina's win over Peru after picking up an injury against Paraguay.

Spurs are back to Premier League action on Saturday after just under two weeks of international football, as they face Man City at the Etihad Stadium. However, Postecoglou has been dealt with an emergency in defence ahead of the crunch as duo Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero could both be out.
The Dutch defender is 100% unavailable for the game as Postecoglou confirmed that he is "still a couple of weeks away" from his return. Van de Ven suffered an injury in the Carabao Cup game against the same City on October 30th, and has not featured for Spurs since. "He is on the grass training but he is still a couple of weeks away. We’re hoping by the middle of December he is back and available to play," the Australian coach said on Thursday.
On the other hand, Romero's involvement against City is a doubt as he missed put on Argentina's win over Peru on Wednesday due to an injury he picked up against Paraguay in the previous match. Reports indicate that the Argentinian may have suffered a recurrence of the foot injury sustained against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Romero’s wife has also just had a baby, which could further rule him out for the trip to the Etihad. On his player's newborn, Postecoglou said: “Happy for Cristian and his wife on the birth of their baby girl. He is still not 100 per cent so he is a doubt definitely for the weekend. Everyone else from the internationals got through well".
