Valencia coach Carlos Corberan urges his side to 'react' after Barcelona humbling

Valencia coach Carlos Corberan has regretted that his team did not compete in the heavy defeat against Barcelona (7-1), a result that, as he pointed out, demands “a proportional reaction” to the defeat suffered at the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys.
From the press room of the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys, the Valencian coach has admitted that his team “has not been up to the level” of the match and has made self-criticism of his approach to face Barca.
“When a team is so outclassed, I'm the one responsible. We are better than what we have shown,” said Corberan, who argued that Valencia did not have "the intensity" to compete against Barcelona.
However, Corberan, who said that this defeat will not help him to prepare better for the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey against the Catalan side, said that his team “is capable of a better performance” which, in his opinion, “could have levelled” the match.
“I am concerned about the feeling of our fans, as it is a tough result. We are with them and we take responsibility. We will react so as not to repeat it,” he promised.
