Manchester United's recent signing Patrick Dorgu has made a positive early impression at the club, with manager Ruben Amorim identifying the player's excitement as a key factor in his adaptation.
"I think the one important thing is that he's really excited to be here and you can feel it every day," Amorim explained, emphasising the 20-year-old's understanding of the opportunity before him.
The former Sporting Lisbon coach praised Dorgu's performance, noting how difficult it is to join a team like United in the middle of the season. Amorim also highlighted Dorgu's versatility, citing his ability to play on both flanks, although for the Red Devils he has so far played mainly on the left.
The manager's comments suggest that Dorgu is living up to the potential that prompted United to invest €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses for his services from Lecce.
Dorgu's debut against Leicester City in the FA Cup showcased his abilities, with the Danish international demonstrating his pace and defensive acumen in a 45-minute appearance.
Amorim is hopeful for the future with Dorgu at the club as he claimed: "He's going to be a very good player for us now and in the future".
