"Too soon to know what will happen" - Vazquez on new Real Madrid deal

Lucas Vazquez spoke ahead of the second semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup between Real Madrid and Mallorca. The winner of the duel will play in the final against Barcelona, who claimed a 2-0 win over Athletic on Wednesday. A date for which the Real Madrid captain is already looking forward to.
"I think it's the desire we have to keep on winning. Mallorca is the first step towards winning the Spanish Super Cup, which is our objective this week. It's our ambition," he declared. He also confessed what it means to wear the armband: "It's a source of pride to be able to wear the captain's armband. It's what every home-grown player dreams of. Being captain means being there at good and bad times and it's a great responsibility".
The match was not the only topic of conversation. His future came up and Lucas Vazquez responded with a smile or two: "It's too soon to know what's going to happen. I'm happy and satisfied, enjoying this season, and we'll see what happens next season, I can't tell you anything else".
Despite the absence of Dani Carvajal, the star player assured to give his best to fight for another title: "The absence of Carvajal affects us, of course. I'm trying to do what I can to help the team and I'm delighted to do so. It's a very good opportunity to win a title, we're here with a lot of desire. We want to beat Mallorca and play in Sunday's final. It's a very nice year, with many challenges, and we take them on with a lot of ambition".
In addition, Lucas Vazquez had good words for his next opponent: "Mallorca is a team that knows very well what they play, they are a team in every sense of the word. They know very well what they have to do with and without the ball and they are one of the teams that are in the best form at the moment".
