"They don't accept that the most decisive player in LaLiga is a young black man"

Vinicius' representative agency, 'TFM', has lashed out at Spanish football, and specifically La Liga, for the racist incidents the Brazilian suffered at the Mestalla.

The agency representing Brazilian Vinicius Junior, 'TFM', and Frederico Pena as his top representative, denounced in a statement what happened in Mestalla with their player, "immobilised in a cowardly, violent and unacceptable way", and attacked Spanish football and La Liga by ensuring that "they do not accept that the most decisive player" is "a young black man".
"During the match between Valencia and Real Madrid, we witnessed some of the most repugnant scenes of widespread, intentional and institutionalised racism in the history of football. 3 years after the world was shocked by a video in which George Floyd was brutally pinned down, the whole world has witnessed an event in which Vinicius was pinned down in a cowardly, violent and unacceptable way during an argument", 'TFM' denounced in a statement.
The agency then lashed out at La Liga, pointing to racism. "This is just another reflection of what has been seen throughout this LaLiga season, in which it has become clear to the whole world that in Spain as a whole, they do not accept the role of a young black player. That they don't accept that the most decisive and relevant athlete in La Liga is a young black man".
"La Liga's veiled consent to all this discrimination was for months a message to all Spaniards, that it does not want to have the best, if they are black. Blacks, in LaLiga, are only accepted if they are coadjuvants, and that, Vini will never be. Neither on the pitch nor off it," he said.
