Tchouameni urges Madrid to play 'better' despite reaching Copa del Rey final

Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni was “happy” to reach the Copa del Rey final after eliminating Real Sociedad in extra time in the semifinals (4-4 in the second leg and 5-4 on aggregate), although he assured that they cannot be happy “with the performance” on Tuesday, as they have to “play better”.
“We are happy because we are going to play a final, but as far as the match is concerned... we can't be happy. Although we gave everything until the end, but we have to play better,” he said on ‘RealmadridTV’.
Tchouameni discussed how his team is doing physically after the third extra time of the season: “We know we have high-level players on the bench, so we would have chances until the end. We had to keep generating. And that's what we did. But we have to do better.”
“We worked hard since the beginning of the season. We don't do everything well... but physically we try to give it our all. And today - on Tuesday - we did it,” said the France international.
In addition, he pointed out that “it is not easy” to play another final, the fourth of the season for Real Madrid after the European Super Cup final - won -, Intercontinental - won - and Spanish Super Cup - lost -.
“Before every season we want to win titles. It's not easy, but now we have another chance. We're going to go for it,” he concluded.
