Son Heung-min OUT for Spurs Europa League clash

Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Wednesday that Son Heung-min will not be available for Tottenham in their clash against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Wednesday that Son Heung-min will not be play for against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday. The Australian international revealed that the captain was never in contention to feature due to physical discomforts.
"The one missing today is Sonny," Postecoglou said, as he spoke in the press conference ahead of the clash. "He was a bit sore after the weekend, but he was never going to be involved tomorrow anyway. We'll see how he is feeling after tomorrow."
Son had suffered an injury in matchday one of the Europea League against Qarabag, but it seems he never fully recoverd as he was subsituted at the 70th minute for Spurs in their thrashing of West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Ahead of Thursday's showdown Tottenham sit in fourth position in the table. Their next fixtues in the tournament will see them going up against Rangers, before facing Hoffenheim and IF Elfsborg.
