Tottenham are close to making Chelsea's nightmare continue. The Blues visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the back of four straight games without a win and desperate for all three points.
After a tightly contested first half in which the most dangerous chance fell Spurs' way, when Hojbjerg hit the post, Conte's side showed their determination to move into the top four with a screamer from Skipp.
England midfielder Oliver Skipp scored his first goal for Spurs early in the second half after a clearance from the Chelsea defence. The 22-year-old prevented Joao Felix from receiving the ball and smashed it into the top corner to beat Kepa with an unstoppable effort that hit the crossbar before going into the net.
In doing so, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium side would move four points clear of Newcastle in fourth place despite the Magpies still having two games in hand.
