Scaloni announces Argentina squad list for October international break

Leo Messi has been called up by Lionel Scaloni for the upcoming matches of the Argentina national team. The missing player is the suspended Dibu Martinez, who will miss the next two matches.

Leo Messi is back in the Argentina national team squad. Lionel Scaloni has given the call-up for the ‘Albiceleste’ matches against Venezuela and Bolivia, belonging to the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, and there appears the No 10.
The Inter Miami player had missed the last few games due to an ankle injury that is now behind him. Now that he has recovered for his team, Messi will once again lead Scaloni's side in the fight to reach the next World Cup finals.
Messi is in, but it is Dibu Martinez who is out, having been suspended. The Aston Villa goalkeeper is out for the two matches due to the gestures made against Chile and Colombia in recent matches.
Beyond the usual names, Nico Paz appears on the scene. Currently playing for Como, the Real Madrid youth product is enjoying a spectacular start to the season under Cesc Fabregas.
