Cristiano Ronaldo has a new team. The Portuguese striker, who left Manchester United just before the start of the World Cup, was unveiled as the new signing of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
Through an official statement on social media, the Arab club welcomed 'CR7', who signed a contract until the 2025 season with a salary that could reach up to 200 million euros.
"I am looking forward to experiencing a new football league in a different country. The way Al-Nasr work is very inspiring and I'm excited to join my teammates to help the team achieve more success," the 37-year-old Portuguese footballer told the club's official website.
The Al-Nassr president said: "This agreement is more than just writing a new chapter in history, this player is a role model for all athletes and young people worldwide. His presence at Al-Nassr, we will move forward to achieve more success for the club and Saudi sport, and for future generations.
The Arab League club introduced him as "the world's greatest athlete". Al-Nassr will be the fifth club in the prodigious career of Ronaldo, who has previously worn the jerseys of Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, as well as being an emblem of the Portuguese national team.
