Cristiano Ronaldo is one step closer to the millennium dream. The Al Nassr striker did his duty and scored his 912th goal, but his side were unable to stop Al Qadsiah's comeback in the latest Saudi league fixture.
Just past the half-hour mark, Angelo crossed into the box but Koen Casteels' efforts were cleared. The same rebound was picked out by Mohamed Simakan and he set up the Portuguese to make it 1-0. Another 88 goals and his 1,000th will live on in eternity.
However, Al Nassr ended up empty-handed. Al Qadsiah managed to turn the result around in a matter of 13 minutes thanks to goals from Julian Quinones and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Cristiano Ronaldo's side remain third, five points behind Al Ittihad and six behind leaders Al Hilal. Both teams do not count their games in hand.
