Rodri is alongside Carvajal, Bellingham and Vinicius Jr as one of the favourites to win the Ballon d'Or for his incredible 2023/24 campaign. However, all indications are that it will be Real Madrid's Brazilian winger who will be presented with the prestigious award.
Manchester City's Portuguese centre-back Ruben Dias seems to disagree with what is likely to be the outcome of the gala in Paris on Monday 28th October.
The Portugal international praised the Spanish midfielder to the skies and said it should be the former Colchonero who wins the award and believes he could win several in a row as he considers him a ‘special’ player.
"Rodri should win the Ballon d’Or! He had an impressive season. Not one… many in a row. He won the Euros, which is not found in every generation. Without a doubt a special player," he told 'ESPN'.
