Real Madrid to offer Ancelotti ambassadorial role if Xabi Alonso replaces him

Real Madrid's poor run of form and recent defeat in ‘El Clasico’ against Barcelona has put Carlo Ancelotti in the media spotlight and rumours are already beginning to swirl about the club's plans for the Merengue bench in the future.
Los Blancos are reportedly hoping that Xabi Alonso will become Real Madrid coach next summer in a move that the club would use as an opportunity to make an offer to the Italian to remain linked with the club.
The former Liverpool player has emerged as the favourite to replace Ancelotti, according to ‘Relevo’, and with his arrival, the club are ready to offer the Italian an ambassadorial role.
Reports claim that different factions at the club are in agreement over the decisions and although Bayer Leverkusen are expecting the Spanish coach to leave next summer, Real Madrid are in no rush to dispose of the services of Ancelotti, who has won 14 trophies in his time with Los Blancos.
