Following their 0-3 victory over Girona last night in La Liga, Real Madrid look to get back to winning ways in the Champions League as they pay a visit to Atalanta on matchday 6 of the league phase. The defending champions will have back Brazilian duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes for their away fixture after having recovered from their respective injuries.
Reports suggested that Vinicius would need about three weeks of rest, but a quick recovery means that he returns after sitting out just two weeks' worth of clashes - two defeats against Liverpool and Athletic Club. Raul Asencio, who is now well-established in the senior team following his promotion, is also present on the shortlist.
But their squad list counts the absence of Ferland Mendy, who suffered a thigh injury during Saturday's league clash, as confirmed by the club earlier today. Jude Bellingham also sustained a knock in the match at the Montilivi, however he seems to have shaken it off as Carlo Ancelotti included him for the trip to Bergamo.
The Italian boss will need the former Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund gem, who is in great form after scoring in each of his last five outings. Real Madrid, currently sitting in 24th position, desperately need a win against Atalanta as they fight for survival after three defeats in their opening five games of the Champions League league phase.
