The eagerly awaited Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool, postponed in December due to the stormy Darragh, now has a new date.

The match will be played on Wednesday 12 February 2025 at 20:30 CET at Goodison Park. This will be the last derby to be played at Everton's historic stadium before its move to their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
The Premier League confirmed the new date following consultations with both clubs. The match was originally scheduled for 7 December 2024, but had to be postponed for safety reasons due to strong winds caused by Storm Darragh.
The new date is subject to Liverpool not qualifying for the Champions League play-offs, which is unlikely as they lead their group with a clean sheet.
David Moyes, recently appointed Everton manager, will be looking to spring a surprise against a Liverpool side in contention for the Premier League title.
As Liverpool continue their title chase and Everton fight for Premier League survival, this derby promises to be a key clash for both clubs.
