Portugal star Ronaldo offers new hints about retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered new insights into his potential retirement. The 39-year-old forward made the comments after an outstanding performance in Portugal’s 5-1 victory over Poland in the Nations League, where he scored twice and provided an assist.
Ronaldo, who remains in superb physical condition, reflected on his longevity in the game, acknowledging that while retirement is on the horizon, he feels capable of playing for a few more seasons.
"I just want to enjoy. Plan for retirement… if it has to happen, in one or two years… I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon… I really want to enjoy it, and as long as I feel motivated I keep going. The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire," Ronaldo told reporters on Friday.
The two goals against Poland highlighted Ronaldo’s continued ability to deliver in crucial moments. Despite being 39, the Portuguese legend showed no signs of slowing down, and his form has raised questions about how much longer he intends to play at the international level.
