The legal proceedings for the extortion and kidnapping suffered by Paul Pogba continue. The Frenchman has asked the accused for 50,000 euros for moral damages and the return of the 197,000 euros they spent from his personal account. Mathias Pogba, Paul's brother, has been left out of the footballer's lawsuit.

Paul Pogba, allegedly the victim of blackmail and kidnapping by a group of friends, has claimed 50,000 euros for moral damages and demanded that five of the defendants, not including his brother Mathias, return what they allegedly spent from the player account (about 200,000 euros).
Without the presence of the French international at the hearing, his lawyer excluded Mathias because "he would not have benefited from the purchases" and the gifts made by Pogba to his friends, amounting to 197,000 euros.
On the eve of the announcement by the prosecution of the possible sentences for the six accused, Mathias Pogba delegated responsibility for the blackmail on trial to Roushdane K., 39 years old and the only one in pre-trial detention.
The older brother of the 2018 World Cup winner recalled the media-worthy video he released in August 2022, in which he spoke of ‘surprising revelations’ about the midfielder and about Kylian Mbappe, on whom Pobga is said to have cast a spell with the help of a sorcerer.
"Today I can say that, indirectly, I was pressured to make this video," Mathias said, attributing the pressure to Roushdane K.
This man, who has at least seven criminal records, is accused along with Adama C. (33 years old), Boubacar C. (35), Mamadou M. (30) and Mohamed Machikour K. (36) on charges of kidnapping, criminal association and blackmail in several episodes that occurred during the year 2022.
Mathias Pogba (34), Paul's older brother who began his short-lived career with Celta Vigo in Spain, is on trial on two counts of attempted blackmail and conspiracy to commit a crime, but not on the more serious charge of express kidnapping with a firearm, which occurred in March 2022.
The six allegedly took part in a scheme to blackmail Pogba, who they allegedly demanded 13 million euros for his safety. All of them, members of the midfielder's inner circle from the town of Roissy-en-Brie (outside Paris), have claimed to have acted under pressure from a third group.
