Palmer comes to Chelsea 'to play more' than at Man City, says Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino spoke on Cole Palmer who just joined Chelsea from Manchester City in his press conference prior to the match against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Manchester City cashed in on Palmer for an initial £40 million that takes Chelsea's spending on new players in just over a year under the club's American ownership beyond £1 billion.
Palmer agreed a seven-year contract with Chelsea, who could pay City an extra £2.5 million in add-on clauses. The 21-year-old scored in both the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup last month as Riyad Mahrez's exit looked to have opened the door to more first-team opportunities at City.
But Palmer, who helped England win the Under-21 European Championship this year, said he had been convinced by Chelsea's plan to invest heavily in young players.
His new manager Mauricio Pochettino praised the new signing and explained his decision to join the Blues: "He is a young, talented player. I think he fits the project.
"Of course, he decided to come because he expects to play maybe more and be more important here [than at Man City], but that is not the most important thing. He wanted to come because he has seen the Chelsea project is for him," he told reporters.
