What looked like it was going to be a dream for Vitor Roque turned out to be a nightmare. The winger who travelled to Europe from Palmeiras to join Barcelona will end his stay in Spain barely a year and a half after his arrival in La Liga.
Roque joined Los Cules last season in January to help Xavi Hernandez's side, but the Catalan coach was never interested in using him and a lack of playing time saw 'Tigrinho' join Betis on loan last summer.
Although things have gone better for him at the Andalusian club, scoring 7 goals in 33 appearances so far, it seems that the 19-year-old striker is on the verge of a move back to Brazil, in this case to Palmeiras.
The Brazilian side have reached an agreement with Barcelona for 25 million euros, which means that Barça will practically recover the 30 million that they paid Paranaense for his transfer. On the other hand, Betis will receive financial compensation for the player's departure before the end of his loan contract.
