The Crystal Palace manager, along with Sebastian Hoeness and Roger Schmidt, is reportedly on a three-man shortlist compiled by Red Bull's board.
Glasner, who joined Palace from Wolfsburg, had been linked with a move to Bayern Munich last summer after an impressive start at Selhurst Park.
Despite a difficult first season in the Premier League, he has turned things around, guiding the Eagles to a solid run of form, including securing a spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals. However, Palace could soon face a battle to retain their manager as Leipzig consider a change.
Rose's tenure at Leipzig has been marred by disappointing performances, with the club securing just three wins in their last nine matches.
Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Mainz has placed further strain on his position, and the club is reportedly planning to review his future at the end of the season.
As Leipzig contemplate their managerial options, Glasner has emerged as a prime target, with Jurgen Klopp heavily involved in the decision-making process. Should Rose's struggles continue, a move for Glasner could be on the cards.
