Hansi Flick confirmed the presence of Dani Olmo in the final against Real Madrid. With the precautionary measure in hand, the Barcelona coach was pleased to be able to count on the Spanish international, who was absent against Athletic Club.
"He's ready, he can play, it's not a problem. He's very happy to have the opportunity to play," Flick told the press conference ahead of Sunday's Clasico, the first title he can win as Azulgrana boss.
"It's my first final here as coach, but I've played in several finals. It's a "Clasico", but there should be no problem. We have to play 90 minutes and play very well. We are playing against one of the best teams in the world. We can do better than we did against Athletic. We made a lot of mistakes and we have to reduce them. Madrid are one of the best in transition and we have to take care of that," he claimed.
Szczesny started against Athletic due to a delay by Inaki Pena. Ahead of Real Madrid, Flick didn't want to give any clues as to who will be in goal: "He had a good game and Inaki had a great first half of the season. The noise outside is very loud. They have to be on time. It's the third time it's happened and I had no choice. You can get there earlier, it's not a problem".
