OFFICIAL: Bournemouth sign 19-year-old talent Julio Soler

Soler arrives at Bournemouth from Argentine side Lanus for an initial fee of about £6.6m, however, 'BCC Sport' reports that numbers could eventually go up to £11.5m if all add-on clauses are met.
The 19-year-old defender made his way up from Lanus' youth academy before debuting with the first team in May 2022. He has since made 58 appearances for the club, bagging two assists.
Born in Paraguay, the defender plays for the Argentina under-23 side and played for Javier Mascherano's side during the 2024 Olympics until they were knocked out in the quarter-finals. Although he was called up for the senior team in October 2024 for the World Cup qualifiers, Soler is yet to earn his first international cap.
Following the arrival of centre-back Matai Akinmboni from MLS side DC United, Soler is Bournemouth’s second signing of the January transfer window. Simon Francis, Bournemouth's technical director, said: "Julio is another talented young player who arrives highly sought after and we are pleased to have added him to our squad.
