Manchester City have a new striker: Omar Marmoush. The European phenomenon of the season is leaving Eintracht Frankfurt to fulfil his lifelong dream of making his debut in the Premier League, the top competition in his native Egypt.
Pep Guardiola's new ‘7’ spoke to the media for the first time at his new club: "It's a great honour. I am very happy to be the first Egyptian in history to play for Manchester City. I want to show everything my country has".
"Representing Egypt at a big club like this was something I always dreamed of. It is becoming a reality and I hope I can maintain this level. The Premier League is for us the biggest and the most followed because of players like Mohamed Salah and others," he said.
Omar Marmoush made no secret of his excitement at landing in England: "For most players growing up, our dream is to be in the Premier League. That's why I'm so happy to be here and to come to this great competition".
