Kylian Mbappe has chosen not to respond to Neymar as he was asked to comment on his former teammates' words on the microphones of 'TNT Sport'. The Brazilian had claimed that Mbappe became "jealous" of his relationship with Lionel Messi when the Argentine joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
"When Messi arrived, I think he got a little jealous," the Al Hilal winger told Romario last week. "He didn't want to share me with anyone and then the fights began, the change of behaviour. I always told him, I joked with him, that he was going to be one of the best, I always helped him, I talked to him."
But the French forward said he was not interested in what Neymar had said as he insisted his focus was solely on 'Los Blancos'. “Honestly, I have nothing to say. I’m focused on what I do here in Madrid," he said, adding that he still has a lot of respect for the former Barcelona winger.
The 26-year-old said: "I have a lot of respect for Neymar. I could say a lot about him but I want to remember the good things about him, like that he's a unique player in the history of football and all our moments together in Paris. Now I'm in Madrid, I want to enjoy it. I wish Neymar and his family the best of luck."
