Man Utd legend Ferdinand supported Vini: " Hearing Tebas' sh*t last season..."

Vinicius, at the press conference ahead of the friendly match against Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu, part of the anti-racism campaign in the Iberian country and Brazil, burst into tears. The Real Madrid winger was going over the insults that have been heaped on him since he arrived from Flamengo and could not contain his emotions.
He has been widely criticised for an alleged falsehood on camera now that he is preparing a documentary for Netflix, but many are supporting him. Rio Ferdinand is one of them. "Is Spain a racist country??? I don’t know as I don’t live there to know or see that experience. But I know there is RACISM in the stadiums there & it seems to be accepted by the authorities for some reason???," said Ferdinand on Twitter.
"To see a young man break down in a press conference like Vinicius Jr is heartbreaking to see. Hearing Javier Tebas (LaLiga President) sh*t last season tells me there needs to be BIG changes at the top/convictions from the big organisations! I salute you bro," he concluded.
The former defender, on the subject of Tebas, refers to the change of position that the president of La Liga has made. At first, he denied the racist behaviour towards Vinicius, and now he is leading the fight against this type of behaviour from the stands. For some time now, every time he appears in public, he does so with words of praise for the Brazilian and repudiation for those who disrespect him.
Ferdinand suggests, that this is nothing more than a need to keep the Spanish championship's sponsors and lobbies happy. What is certain, however, is that the consequences have been an increased focus on cases of racism every weekend, with the employers' association being very active in terms of complaints, to the point of highlighting these issues even when they occur in the Champions League, UEFA's territory.
