"Madrid is a winning club"

Former Brazilian player Ricardo Kaka said the upcoming 32-team Club World Cup "will be incredible and a huge event for football" because of "the mix of cultures and different football styles" and the interest it will arouse among fans.
"It will give more children and young people opportunities to dream. FIFA talks a lot about football being for everyone and pushing for greater inclusion, and that generates even more children and young people to think about football, and to make use of this sport that I love so much, not only to have a sporting career but also to develop their personality," he said.

After his experience as a Real Madrid player between 2009 and 2013, Kaka spoke about Real Madrid's chances in the competition, which will be played in June 2025.
"Real Madrid, every tournament they play, is to win. It's a winning club, globally recognised for that, and I think it's going to come, to play a World Cup like this, to win as well and to be, of course, the first to win it, and one of the clubs with the most titles in the world. So, I think Real Madrid are going to take this tournament very seriously to be an even more special club," he added.

Winner of the 2002 World Cup and the 2007 Club World Cup, the year in which he was voted best player in the world, the Brazilian told FIFA that his experience in the competition "was already incredible" and predicted that with the new format "the fans will enjoy it a lot".
"South American teams have the opportunity to play against European teams. With this new format, the possibility of seeing those matches will be even greater. I think it will benefit football: to see a clash between different football styles and cultures will be excellent for the growth of football. The fans, of course, will enjoy it a lot," he said.
