Liverpool thrash West Ham to extend Premier League lead

Liverpool ran riot at West Ham with a 0-4 win at the London Stadium on Sunday to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Slot's men are now nine points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

The game was already over after 45 minutes. Luis Diaz opened the scoring at the 30-minute mark before Cody Gakpo doubled ten minutes later. Mo Salah was the provider for the Dutchman's goal but turned goalscorer before the whistle as he calmly netted from Curtis Jones' pass. The goals did not cease in the second period as Alexander-Arnold got a lucky deflection to get Liverpool's fourth goal from range. Substitute Diogo Jota rounded off the scoring as he sealed Salah's pass to send Liverpool nine points ahead of Arsenal in the table.
