Liverpool reach verbal agreement with Sporting boss Ruben Amorim

Ever since Jurgen Klopp announced his shock decision to leave Liverpool next summer and thus bring an era of glory to an end, the Reds have been scrambling to find a replacement who can match the German manager.
Several names have been linked with the club by the English press, notably Brighton & Hove Albion's Roberto De Zerbi and Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso, the latter being the favourite due to his former Reds background.
However, it seems that the Merseyside board have already found a successor to Jurgen Klopp. According to 'Sky Germany', the Reds and Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim have reached an agreement in principle to sign a three-year contract.
Although the paper reports that the deal has not yet been finalised, the Portuguese, whose eye-catching style of play has put him on the radar of Chelsea and Bayern Munich, looks set to begin a new post-Klopp Liverpool era.
