Barcelona were a surprise on Tuesday when they announced their starting eleven against Mallorca. For the first time this season Robert Lewandowski was not going to start a game in the starting eleven.
Hansi Flick, speaking ahead of the game at Son Moix, spoke about the reason why the Pole is not in the starting XI. The Barcelona striker needs a rest.
"Robert has played a lot of minutes. He needs to rest. Besides, we have an important game on Saturday and next week as well," said the coach on Movistar.
Flick also spoke about the pressure to win: "We have to win this game. We're playing well, but I'm missing 5% more concentration to be more effective."
"We have a young group and we have to play with that. There are a lot of players from La Masia, I love that. We are very happy to be here, I hope we win," he added.
