Julian Alvarez move to Atletico Madrid could trigger Correa departure

The 2024-25 season is about to begin and there are players who still have a question mark over their name on the market. For example, Angel Correa is considering what to do in the final stretch of the summer at Atletico Madrid.
According to 'AS', doubts about his future have arisen for Correa as a result of the signing of Julian Alvarez. In previous transfer windows, the Argentinian had already considered leaving the Metropolitano outfit, but ended up staying.
The winger is not a permanent fixture in Simeone's scheme. He's a top substitute, Simeone's favourite revulsive player and, moreover, the most effective, but sometimes he feels that it's not enough, which is why he has considered packing his bags on more than one occasion.
In June, Correa let Atletico know that he wanted to stay and that he was going to fight, as always, for a place in the XI. He believed that this year could be different with the departure of Memphis, although he was counting on Morata continuing alongside Griezmann. In that mental scheme, he felt he had the strength to compete.
Now that the former Sky Blues striker has joined the team, arriving as a big attraction, he knows that it will be even more complicated if possible to convince Simeone. If he finally decides to leave, Besiktas would be interested in his services. They are offering the 'Colchoneros' around 20 million euros for him and there is still a margin, so a departure is not ruled out.
