Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez met this Sunday with the supporters' clubs of the team he presides in Saudi Arabia, thanking them for their support and showing them that the club's crest “forms part of people's hearts” and encourages them to “never give up”.
He was pleased that Real Madrid is "a big family, regardless of place of origin, nationality, language, religion, ideology or culture", while stressing that it is the ‘most loved and admired’ in the world as the only sporting entity that exceeds 600 million followers on social networks, the club reported on its website.
"Our crest is part of people's hearts (...). You are an example of the passion and strength that have led us to achieve a record that is very difficult to achieve. We are living one of the most successful periods of all time," he said.
He also remarked that being Real Madrid is "a way of living life and it is also a responsibility" forged in values such as "work, sacrifice, constant improvement, companionship, humility, respect and solidarity".
Regarding the final of the Spanish Super Cup, he pointed out that it will be a "very difficult" match, which is why he considered the support of the fans to be essential: ‘With this crest and with this shirt, we never give up’.
