Isak awarded EA Sports Player of the Month for December

Newcastle United's Alexander Isak has been crowned EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for December 2024. With eight goals and two assists in six games, the Swedish striker catapulted the Magpies to fifth place in the standings. ‘It's an honour to receive this award. It's a testament to the hard work of the team,’ Isak commented after the announcement.
His coach, Eddie Howe, praised Isak's impact: "Alexander has been outstanding. His form has been crucial to our recent success". The 25-year-old striker outshone a competitive group of nominees, including Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Isak's goalscoring prowess has not only earned him individual recognition, but he has also played a key role in Newcastle's four consecutive league wins ahead of 2025.
Isak is also in the running for the Guinness Goal of the Month award for his spectacular 20-yard strike against Liverpool. The winner of the award will be announced on 10 January, which could secure Isak a double in the Premier League's monthly scoring charts.
