Inter Milan renew Denzel Dumfries until 2028

Denzel Dumfries has officially penned the deal for a new contract with Inter Milan, which will see him increase his stay with the 'Nerazzurri' until June 2028. The Dutch full-back will therefore continue for four more years after joining the club in 2021 from PSV Eindhoven.
With 13 goals and 15 assists in 147 matches for the Italian giants, Dumfries has quickly become an important asset for manager Simone Inzaghi on the right flank, thus giving him a well-deserved salary boost in Inter's eyes. According to 'Fc Inter News', the 28-year-old will be earning double the amount the earned before thanks to his new contract: 4 million euros per year.
After three years - now entering his fourth year - with the Serie A champions, Dumfries has won a Scudetto, two Coppa Italias, three Italian Super Cups and reached an historic Champions League final in 2023, which Inter lost out to Man City following a narrow 1-0 defeat in Istanbul.
But his contributions go beyond his club. The right-wing-back has been a signifant player for the Netherlands, who deploy the same formation (3-5-2) as Inter Milan. In his 63 matches for the Dutch national team, Dumfries has scored 9 goals and provided 14 assists, though we can expect that number to quickly rise as time goes on.
