Inter forward Thuram to start in Napoli crunch, Darmian out

Serie A leaders Inter could have Marcus Thuram back in the starting lineup for Saturday's crunch against Napoli as the French forward is said to have recovered from his ankle injury. However, the 'Nerrazzurri' will be without Matteo Darmian, who was revealed to have sustained a thigh injury.

Good news for Inter ahead of their Serie A showdown against Napoli. Marcus Thuram is in line to start at the Diego Armando Maradona after recovering from an ankle injury suffered in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina two weeks ago.
The French forward attempted to play off the blow in Inter's 1-0 defeat at Juventus but was eventually forced off early, missing out on the wins over Genoa (1-0) in the league and Lazio (2-0) in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals over the week.
However, he is now back for arguably the biggest game of the Italian top flight so far as Napoli and Inter find themselves in a heated battle for the 'Scudetto'. Only one point separates the two sides ahead of Saturday evening's crunch.
While Thuram returned to regular team training this morning, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi sees himself with a crisis on the flanks as Matteo Darmian has joined Nicola Zalewski and Carlos Augusto in the treatment room.
Inter confirmed earlier on Thursday that the former Man United full-back has sustained a thigh injury in Monday's domestic cup win over Lazio. 35-year-old Darmian will therefore set to sit out the trip to Naples and is expected back in late March.
